Your affiliate marketing cannot take place in a vacuum.
You need a place to showcase your goods (virtual or physical). And thankfully, you have many options today. Some are free, some cost a little.
In this article, you will learn about them so you can pick the one that is perfect for you.
Why only “the one”? It is absolutely fine to pick more than one. But I recommend you start with one and then go for a second once the first is established.
Also, whenever you deal with affiliate marketing, you must comply with FTC’s rules and for example make it clear that you share an affiliate link and you earn a commission if people follow it and buy through your link.
Pinterest allows you to do affiliate marketing on their platform.
There are certain rules to follow, of course. But this means you do not even need to have your own website. You can focus on finding products, creating pins and sharing.
This may take you four bites of 15 minutes a day to begin with, but soon you can narrow it down to planning once a week and pinning for 15 minutes per day.
Pinterest is a perfect platform for bite-sized affiliate marketing.
If you love making videos, you can even create small less than 60 seconds videos.
You can either record yourself using the product you promote. Or you can find images you have the right to use and share those in short videos. Did you know that you can even use Canva (your affiliate link) for these videos?
If you prefer to record or create videos, then YouTube is the perfect platform for bite-sized affiliate marketing… As long as you stick to the short videos.
The longer ones may be more effective, but they are harder to split into smaller bites of time.
You can use TikTok in the same way as YouTube shorts.
The main differences are that there is a larger audience for short videos on TikTok. But the videos have a shorter lifetime there.
While YouTube will show your video months from now, TikTok is fast paced.
Shown today, gone tomorrow.
If you like speed and to create one to three videos a day, TikTok is a great platform for bite-sized affiliate marketing.
You can grow a huge audience on Twitter/X.
And it is good for bite-sized work. You can write a few quick messages during one timeslot. Schedule them during another. And write good replies to other messages in your niche to get attention.
You can sell directly on Twitter/X.
But you will get much better results if you get followers and readers to join your mailing list. And then promote your affiliate links in your emails.
Like all social media platforms, people do not go there to buy.
Selling directly will always be a hard task from social media platforms like Twitter/X, Instagram and Facebook.
Take a look at the more popular accounts, even outside of your niche. Notice the form and length of their posts. Do they use hashtags?
Probably not.
Then neither should you.
Posts are also structured to have a visual appeal. Never share one huge block of text. Use a hook (a short sentence that hooks the reader) as your first line.
The build the rest of the post beneath it, preferably with each line slightly longer than the previous.
Tweeting (X’ing?) is an art form. If writing articles is prose, then this platform is more about poetry.
Speaking of prose…
Medium is like YouTube for writers.
You can write short or long. Both kinds of posts have their advantages and disadvantages. And both have their followers and fans.
Plus, a lot of people like both formats.
This means you can do affiliate marketing in time-bites easily here. You can either break the construction of a longer article into smaller parts. For example:
If you choose a short article, 200 to 300 words, you may even be able to go from start to finish in one time-bite.
You can promote the affiliate product directly in a Medium article. Just make sure you follow FTC’s rules. Or you can build your list on Medium and promote it in emails.
And that leads us to the next platform.
Studies have shown that for every $1 you spend on getting a new subscriber, you will get $42 back.
The best place to sell affiliate products is inside emails. Emails are personal and get read. If you write in an engaging manner, of course.
Tip: Write your emails as if you are writing to one person and that it is your best friend.
If you have four times 15 minutes per day to work in your business, then spend one of these writing the email. One to go through the affiliate product for a week. And the last two on growing your list.
This takes planning, as you can tell.
You will always be reviewing a product for one week and promoting it later, preferably the following week. Unless you can put more time into your business.
Growing your list of subscribers is the best thing you can do for yourself.
And you can grow it with the other platforms I have mentioned in this article.
Which auto responder service should you pick? I use (your affiliate link) and I’m happy with it.
Your priority list does not have to be the same as mine.
Now you have options, though. I have picked the best platforms for bite-sized affiliate marketing and shared them with you here. If you are still in doubt, then just pick one at random and try it out for a month.
Keep it if you like it. Or come back here and pick another one.
